I did some research and “Chronic Pain” is a qualifying condition in NY. When I was 16 (25 now) I tore my acl and meniscus. Since then even after surgery and PT for 8 months after I get horrible pain in my knee. Sitting or standing too long or running causes me to noticibly limp and struggle with stairs. During these times my knee is visibly swollen. I know MJ works through self adminitsration, but I want to get an official card for NY. I just don’t know if that reason is enough or if it is doc dependent? What happens if the Doc says no? Can I just go to a different one? Is there a “cooldown” so to speak before seeing another doc?
Any help appreciated.
