I think Martin Luther King Day should be reminder how the Government treats anyone who tries to reform society through a social movement.

I think Martin Luther King Day should be reminder how the Government treats anyone who tries to reform society through a social movement.

Many people will celebrate this day by talking about civil rights and sharing MLK quotes. The most popular being “I have A Dream” speech, but what’s interesting is, that speech caused the FBI to label him “the most dangerous Negro of the future in this nation from the standpoint of Communism, the Negro and national security.”

The FBI even sent him a note hoping he would kill himself, which many people have heard of, but many aren’t aware the FBI’s KKK paid informant and agent provocateur was bombing Black Churches and attacking civil rights protesters, which was part of their FBI’s COINTELPRO project

I tend to think MLK day should be used to remind everyone how the establishment treats any social movement that is considered a threat to them. Cheers

Edit: Matt Taibbi just released this article which also highlights how the media treated MLK after he condemned the Vietnam War. https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-features/before-the-media-lionized-martin-luther-king-jr-they-denounced-him-629494/
