Open letter to Reddit to improve the Tor user experience (as recently degraded)

Open letter to Reddit to improve the Tor user experience (as recently degraded) X-posted to the Reddit help desk. Edit: Although influenced by the recent blocking; the following suggestions extend further than simply unblocking the innocent exit relays. Of the 3 suggestions I find the proof of work the least important and should only be added as an option for better anonymity of users who don’t want to use email addresses. It shouldn’t be forced on tor users unless there is an existing issue with the number of anonymous accounts…

Orbot, Netguard, and Wireguard all on the same phone – who gets control?

Orbot, Netguard, and Wireguard all on the same phone – who gets control? With these 3 apps running, who wins control? Assuming: Netguard does not “apply rules and conditions” for Orbot (otherwise Netguard would be forcing Tor to senselessly use Tor) Netguard does “apply rules and conditions” to Wireguard (so Wireguard should be forced over Tor) The first clue that things are not according to plan: I put Netguard in lockdown mode. That should have disabled Wireguard, but when the peer slider in Wireguard is tapped it slides over and…

I changed user-agent, and tested for everything. In conclusion: reddit is blocking certain tor exit nodes, so is there any way we can get around this? (besides resetting circuit)…

Why doesn’t the Tor Browser spoof the referer header?

Why doesn’t the Tor Browser spoof the referer header? I know it doesn’t disable the referer header because it breaks some websites but wouldn’t spoofing it fix this problem while also providing more privacy/anonymity? Setting network.http.referer.spoofSource in about:config to true sends the target URL in the referer so websites cannot find out what website you were on previously from the referer. Also trimming the header with more about:config settings, to my knowledge wouldn’t break any websites. You can also restrict it to only the website you’re on so it’s not…
